What is the standard size of a double bed?
The standard size for a double bed in Italy is 160×190 cm or 160×200 cm. There are also “French” versions (140×190/200 cm) or custom-made beds if you have specific space requirements.
How to choose the best mattress for your type of bed?
Choosing the right mattress means considering: type (memory foam, springs, latex, hybrid), support (body weight), height/firmness, ventilation, allergies. The mattress must fit the bed base or frame and match the exact dimensions of the bed to prevent deformation or premature wear.
When is it best to replace your mattress?
Generally every 7–10 years if used daily. Signs that indicate the need for replacement: sagging, pain upon waking, visible wear, persistent odors.
How long does it take to make a custom-made bed?
The time required depends on: complexity, materials, availability of the manufacturer and wood. On average, a custom-made bed can take 3-8 weeks from the moment the design is created and measurements are taken to delivery.
